'Cherry Blossoms at Night in the Yoshiwara ' from the series 'Famous Places in the Eastern Capital'

This woodblock print depicts cherry blossom time in the Yoshiwara district, which shows people gathering for a night of merriment.  The buildings are lit by large lanterns.  This print was first introduced c1843.  This later edition dates to c1920.  It bears Hiroshige's seal, along with its publisher cipher.  The print measures 8.5" x 13.25" and is double-matted in very complementary colors.  It is handsomely framed in a vintage wood frame measuring 16" x 19".  It is in fine condition.      P3448           $195.00
