'Teahouse Yotsuya Arakicho at Night'

This evening scene depicts a teahouse with patrons coming and going, and a single patron in silhouette, in a window. Koitsu's use of color captures evening perfectly. Koitsu's cipher and his red seal, which translates to 'genuine', are present, along with the title of the print and the accompanying date of its introduction 1935. This print is a later edition, c1940s. The print size, including the margins is 16" x 11". It is in fine condition, beautifully double-matted and framed in a coordinated gold tone frame with a red wash, which matches the mats, simply gorgeous in its presentation.            P50013   $495.00
