'Three Women Holding Umbrellas, Strolling in the Rain' Series: Current Manners in Eastern Brocade

This woodblock print depicts three beauties walking in a steady rain, all under the protection of their umbrellas.  This print originates from the Eastern Brocade series, in which one print is more beautiful than the next.  It is a classic depiction of Japanese women in ukiyo-e style, they are beautiful.  This print measures 15.75" high by 10.75" wide, including the margins, a full Oban size.  The original artwork was published  c1810.  This later print is from c1930, and comes from a well-loved collection of woodblocks.  It has awesome color and it is in impeccable condition, ready for framing!
