'Women Holding a Teacup and a Round Fan'
This woodblock print depicts a scene with two women, one holding a teacup, the other holding a fan. The original series was published by Yamadaya Sanshirô, c1797. This later edition, c1900, was produced with the rise in tourism in Japan. This print measures 15" x 10". There is an old mend in the lower left margin as shown in the photos, along with generalized handling wear and creases, but it would frame nicely under a mat. The name Utamaro is written in pencil on the lower verso.                   P3019              $55.00
