'Morning after Snow at Koishikawa' Series: Thirty Six Views of Mt. Fuji #24

This lovely woodblock print depicts several women on an open veranda at a teahouse, relaxing after the morning snow, in view of a majestic Mt. Fuji.  It is part of the series that brought the world the most iconic woodblock print in the world, 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa'.  This teahouse print is a colorful print, and executed beautifully.  It was introduced c1830-34.  This later edition dates to c1950s during the booming tourist trade. It measures 9.75" x 13.5", and is matted in a fine ivory linen mat.  The frame measures 15" x 8", in a black metal frame.  It is in fine condition.   P9011     $145.00
