'At Sea off Kazusa', Series Title: Thirty Six Views of Mt. Fuji No, 20

A view of two ships sailing across an expansive sea. The billowing sails and change in color from a deep blue in the foreground to the blue/green of the horizon creates a strong feeling of movement. A very thorough depiction of the ships, with fine color and detail.  This print  measures 8.25" high by 11.5" long, including the margins.  It is in excellent condition, no tears, holes or stains.  It bears Hokusai's Kanji cipher, a series and title box in Kanji script.  It was originally published c1830 -1834.  This later edition dates to c1970.    P9310
