'Courtesans in Fine Kimonos'
This print depicts two Courtesans, in ornate kimonos seated before an elaborate screen, with a bird and flowers. One has a scroll in her hand, and there are writing tools beside them on the bench. The top of the print is inscribed with Surimono, or a poem. There are Swan cartouches, along with its title in Kanji. We do not know the series name. The publisher seal is in the lower right, along with a date seal. This print has beautiful color, with very refined details. This print was originally produced c1780. This later edition dates to c1950. It measures 10.5" high by 7" wide. It is in excellent original condition, with stray paper on the right edges from being tipped in a portfolio, no damage. P3418
