'Geese and Chrysanthemum' from the series 'Birds and Flowers'
This woodblock print depicts three geese, two pink and white, one black.  One appears to be squabbling.  The print's canvas is shared by a full sprig of Chrysanthemum blossoms behind the geese.  This series dates to 1830.  This edition followed about 100 years later, c1930.  The print measures 7" x 5", and the frame measures 11" x 9".  Hokusai's Bird and Flower series prints have wonderful color and rich lines, and his work remains popular today.  P6528    $95.00
