This woodcut print by Helen Hyde entitled 'The Bath', depicts an endearing theme of a mother and her infant.  It has the classic charms of Helen Hyde prints in which the child takes center stage, a simple activity that warms the heart. This print is numbered 52, in a limited edition, and bears Hyde's seals and signature in pencil, along with the date 1905.  The print sight size is 17.5" x 11", and the frame measures 22.5" x 17". Helen Hyde traveled to Europe and China, and in 1899, she arrived in Japan to begin training with master artist Tomonobu Kano.  Hyde's prints are highly prized by collectors and considered scarce, if not quite rare.   P80541     $1895
