Actor from a Noh Play

This lovely woodblock print depicts a female actor from a Noh play in regal costume. This print was first introduced c1730, and likely with little color.  This later edition dates to c1950-60, when eighteenth century images were being reintroduced for the tourist trade.  It has superb color with gauffage accents, including gold tone mica touches.  The print measures 5.75" x 3.75", and it is handsomely framed 9" x 7".  This print is in fine condition.    P747/5532   $75
