'Cherry Blossoms at New Yoshiwara', Series 'Famous Placesof the Eastern Capital'

This woodblock print depicts Cherry Blossom time, with an early morning scene, in low lying mist.  A client takes leave of his companion.  The print is bordered in an ochre-colored pattern, a signature of this series.  This woodblock print, in oban format measures 9.5" high by 15" wide.  It was originally published in 1831.  This is a later edition from c1930, likely published by Mr. Adachi, a well known publisher in the 1920s-30s.  This print is in excellent condition, never been mounted, with crisp and clean lines, and exceptional color and bokashi shading.  S133/P768
