This handsome woodblock print depicts a treescape, at the entrance to the shrine in Nikko, a mountain temple in a lush forest of tall trees. A lone visitor explores the grounds under lantern light. This print is very well executed and has superb color. Koitsu first produced this print in 1936. This edition dates to the later 1930s, early 1940s. It bears Koitsu's seal, along with his Kanji signature. This print was carved by Harada, printed by Yokoi and published by Doi Publishers. It is full oban size at 16.5" x 11.5", and its wood frame measures 20" x 14". It is in excellent original condition.
