This gorgeous evening scene depicts Benkei Bridge at night. Koitsu's use of color, which is superb on this woodblock, captures twilight as it transitions to night beautifully, revealing the shadows. Koitsu's cipher and his red seal, which translates to 'genuine', are present. This print was introduced in 1933. This print is a later edition, c1940s. The print sight size is 14" x 9.25", and the goldtone bamboo-style frame measures 20" x 15" . It is in fine condition, with just minimal generalized toning. P6585 $495.00
