'Visiting a Shrine' or 'Going to a Temple'

Series: Azuma Fūzoku (Customs of the East)

This very nice print depicts women and children going to temple.  There are birds in flight against a creamy apricot sky, and beautiful colors throughout.  It is a lifetime print produced in 1901, by the publisher Matsuki Heikichi (Daikokuya). The series has twelve prints, and this is series number 11, and numbered as such under the title in the right margin.  It measures 9.25" high by 13" long.  This print bears the artist and publisher seals, along with a title box.  This print is in fine condition, with some paper residue in one upper corner on the verso, well shown in the photo.
