This lifetime woodblock print by Biho depicts a simple barnyard scene with a rooster and a hen.  It bears its artist and publisher seals in the lower right of the print.  Biho was a prolific artist with a large body of work, including woodblock prints, serigraphs (silkscreens), watercolors, lithographs and scrolls.   Little is known about him.  He produced woodblock prints into the 1930s, but nothing documented beyond the 1930s, so the mystery remains lost in time.  This Rooster and Hen print is documented as early twentieth century, c 1910-1920.  It measures 10.5" square and is framed in a black frame measuring 13" square.  This print is in very good clean condition, with excellent color.
