Series 'Snow, Moon and Flowers'

This small format woodblock print depicts a young woman under a snow umbrella.  It bears Shunsen's cipher and seal, and the series black cartouche for 'Snow, Moon and Flowers'.  It is a classic image of a beauty, first introduced by Shunsen in 1795.  This edition dates to c1930 when small surimono prints were popular among tourists.  This gem has wonderful color and is in excellent condition.  The print measures 5.5" x 3.75", and the metal frame measures 8" x 6".   P5037     $75.00
