This woodblock print depicts the five-storied pagoda of the Toji Temple in the winter at sunset.  It has gorgeous color.  It is a classic transitional print that embodies shin hanga, and hints at sosaku hanga, a movement in which the artist handles all aspects of producing a print.  This print was produced c1950, and bears the artist seals.  It measures 8" high by 10.25".  It is in good condition, with minor mat marks and some paper residue on the verso from being tipped in its original mat.  P5012
