'Kuri Ferry Crossing at Funibori'
This lovely woodblock print depicts a spring or summer time scene with a ferryman taking his leave after passengers have disembarked his ferry. A woman and a child are walking on the dockside. This print is pretty scarce, if not rare as Hasui's prints go. It was first introduced in 1932. This edition bears an early Watanabe seal dating to 1934-41, well within the lifetime of Hasui. It bears Hasui's cipher, along with its title and date, and the Watanabe Publisher's cipher. It measures 15.75" x 10.5". This print is in very good condition, with some old glue residue in the upper margin, and on the upper margin on the verso, as can be seen in the photos. P65217
