This original postcard woodblock print depicts the village at Akasaka, which has a grove of Paulownia trees.  Silhouetted travelers are walking up the hill under a torrent of rain, while visitors go about their business in the village below. The colors are superb.  This scarce unposted postcard dates to c1920s-30s. The postcard measures 5.5" x 3.5".  It is in a black frame, 7" x 5".       P8625    $65.00
